Special Events... and Event Specials from Le Vatout
Events, exhibits, fairs and festivals - Midcoast Maine revels in them, celebrating anything from blueberries and blues to lobsters, art and boats, boats, boats. Here are some of our favorites, focused on art, crafts and music, nature and, of course fresh, fabulous food. In fact, we like these events so much, we'll offer you a lodging discount... just for coming up here and sharing in the fun! And, remember, after a full day of revelry there's nothing better then to come home to that cozy little bed and breakfast in Waldoboro, well off the beaten path.
North Atlantic Blues Festival
Held in Harbor Park, right at the edge of Penobscot Bay, this popular celebration of everything Blues is going into its sixteenth year! We can't think of a better place during the summer to hang back, enjoy the fresh sea breeze, listen to some cool music and let your mind drift among bobbing windjammer masts. Fans leave their chairs overnight to reserve their "real estate" and everyone picks up trash on their way out. This year's lineup includes Blues Hall of Fame inductee Robert Cray on Saturday and on Sunday Magic Slim & the Teardrops and the reunion of the Brooks brothers, Lonnie, Ronnie and Wayne. Maine, the way life should be! |
